Commissioned Artwork

Commissioning a work of art is an opportunity between an artist and collector to collaborate, creating a unique piece together. Great works often happen when both subject matter and artistic vision compliment each other, so I usually will take on commissioned projects that I know will make a great painting.

Requirements

Reference photos

Whenever possible, I like to take my own reference photos. I find that many photos taken from phones to be unsuitable for painting references.

More often than not I have images that will fit your vision, but I am always open to exploring any photos you may have that are special to you. (sorry, I am not accepting pet portraits at this time)

Size

I can work anywhere between 5x7" up to 48x60" in a variety of dimensions.

Price

The price is based primarily on size of painting and the complexity of subject.

My Commission Process

• An initial consultation via email explores your vision for the piece. At this point we will discuss the details of what you have in mind regarding subject matter, style, and size, allowing for a preliminary estimate to be provided.

• Traditional or Digital sketches (including photo adjustments, composition, etc.) may be provided to work out exactly what you have in mind for the painting.

• Once a final composition/image is agreed upon, an estimated timeline and payment schedule is determined.

• A 50% installment is required before the paint application begins.

Shipping is an additional cost and will be determined when the final piece is packed, measured, and weighed. Pricing will vary depending on the destination, but an estimated shipping cost can be discussed before it is shipped. I will be sure to find the best rates possible while also ensuring your piece is safely packed.

• Upon completion, and approval by yourself, the final payment is due before the piece can be shipped.

Please feel free to contact me for more information regarding commissioned work. I look forward to creating something you will enjoy for years to come!
